Michaela knew she had a passion for Accounting since her secondary school years and concluded her 6^th form studies by attaining an Advanced level in Accounts and Marketing. She then joined a boutique service provider as an administrative clerk, which gave her the opportunity to dive into the corporate world.

In 2021, Michaela commenced her ACCA journey. Concurrently, she also shifted into a more accounting-focused role, which involved servicing a portfolio of domestic and foreign clients. This provided Michaela with the opportunity to apply her studies in real life scenarios. Examples of these include the tending of her corporate clients’ bookkeeping, VAT and tax reporting and the preparation of management accounts followed by an involvement in the yearly audit process.

Michaela joined Borg Galea’s accounting department as a Senior Accounts & Tax Executive whereby she is responsible for a diverse portfolio of corporate clients. At the same time, she is continuing to expand her knowledge and to gain further experience and insight in the finance world.

Michaela is approaching the end of her ACCA studies. She is looking forward towards obtaining her warrant, becoming a fully qualified accountant, and to further develop her career within the firm.
