An Overview of What You’ll Be Doing:
The Accounting & Taxation Senior Executive is responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and ensuring their accounting and taxation needs are met. This includes the preparation and reviewing of financial statements, VAT returns, tax compliance, and other regulatory requirements. The Accounting & Taxation Senior Executive will also be involved in client relationship management and business development initiatives. The role also includes liaising with the auditors to ensure proper compliance with all relevant regulations and performing ad-hoc requests assigned by management that might arise from time to time.
What We Are Looking for in You:
- You are qualified with an Accounting or Finance degree or ACCA.
- Possess a minimum of at least 2 years of working experience in Accounting and Maltese tax, preferably with client accounting.
- If you have work experience with a Big 4 firm, that would be a huge plus.
- Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Tools, particularly Excel.
- Proficiency in the use of accounting software.
- Complete fluency in English, both verbal and written (no less than C1 and/or C2 in reading, writing, speaking, and listening).
- A good communicator and active listener.
- Can work independently and manage one’s time effectively, especially prioritizing tasks and switching from one task to the other when needed.
- Able to work well under pressure, especially in view of deadlines.
- A dependable and responsible individual coupled with a professional demeanor.
