Feedback on the relief for reporting on certain pre-existing accounts that are U.S. reportable accounts.

UPDATE – Borg Galea & Associates would like to inform our clients that the Office of Commissioner for Revenue is seeking feedback from Reporting Malta Financial Institutions on the relief given by the U.S. on certain pre-existing accounts that are U.S reportable accounts, as per the Guidelines on Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information. In this respect, Reporting Malta Financial Institutions are invited to give their views on whether this relief given by the U.S. provides sufficient comfort. Should you wish to provide feedback please get in touch and we will guide you accordingly. The period for submitting feedback ends on 10th March 2023.
