Our Story
Roderick Galea, Co-Founder of Borg Galea & Associates, graduates with a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Malta, laying the foundation for his professional expertise.
Roderick meets Nathaniel Borg, the other Co-Founder of Borg Galea & Associates, and they develop a strong friendship that would later form the foundation of their business partnership.
Nathaniel completes his Diploma in General Studies, Accounting and Business Management at the University of Malta, building his comprehensive understanding of business operations and financial management.
ACCA awards Nathaniel with the title of a Chartered Accountant in Accounting and Finance, establishing his credentials as a qualified professional in the field.
The first professional collaboration between the two Co-Founders begins when Roderick Galea becomes consulted a client of the firm where Nathaniel Borg when he was working as Head of Accounts and they started providing accounting and auditing services together independently as a side hustle.
Borg Galea & Associates is founded as a two-person practice, driven by a shared vision of deliver exceptional accounting and advisory services.
Nathaniel earns his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Birmingham, enhancing the firm's strategic capabilities.
Viffo our cloud-based accounting system is founded, demonstrating our commitment to innovation and technology.
We relocate to Centris Business Gateway, establishing our presence in one of Malta's premier business districts as we continue to grow.
A significant growth milestone: we celebrate serving over 1,000 clients, solidifying our position in Malta's professional services sector.
We acquire DW&P, expanding our capabilities and expertise. Our team grows to more than 50 dedicated professionals.
Our flagship office opens: We move to our current premises, occupying an entire floor that previously housed Bank of Valletta. We fully refurbished the space, transforming it into a modern, thoughtfully designed office that reflects our professional standards and committment to excellence, clearly symbolising our established presence in Malta's financial landscape.
Continuing our expansion through international growth and strategic acquisitions, we open our Canadian office and acquire another audit firm as our team in Malta exceeds 100 professionals.
